Once
upon a time, some time ago, I taught Leadlighting and copper foil
techniques at the Gold Coast TAFE.
I
started this book in about 1988. In 1992 I was offered publication.
Within days of this exciting news I unfortunately, was involved in
a serious accident and found myself in intensive care. The recovery
was a very long process which put a stop to pretty well everything
(What would Lousie Hay say about that).
So here we are on the 21st anniversary of the first design being completed
I am finally going to get this book released.
The first fairy I made graces the cover. I thought it would be just
beautiful to have a fairy made out of glass, dancing in the light,
sparkling through the window.
At that time I had not ever seen a fairy made out of glass and there
were no fairy pattern books.
I started making more of them, most of my friends have them. As I
had all these patterns for fairies someone suggested I should do a
book!. I thought cool! Never dreaming it would take 21 years.
