This was the first painting I ever entered into an art competition.

It won the "highly commended" award, I was so excited so I entered it into a few more competitions and it won another 2 first prizes. 

We had had fires go through the rainforest at Beechmont a few months before and I was amazed just how quickly all the plants had started to recover.

Just shows that Magic Does happen!

This is very pretty and shows an unusual perspective. Portraying an enchanted creature against the Australian Bush is strange, but it works! I love the "Australian-ess" of this painting! The duller colours should be sombre, but the white overtones make this piece os scrubland magical!
