Title: Ida visits my garden


 

Originally done as a design for a fairy bookmark.

It is about 1 metre long, and inspired by an Ida Rentoul Outhwaite Fairy. I have prints of mostl of her paintings .
She was the only fairy artist I knew growing up. I spent ages as a young child copying her pen and ink fairies.

When I was little I used to search my Nanna's garden for fairies. My sister and I found blue and black butterflies, but never fairies. I used to imagine them dancing through the garden as we slept. This painting reminds me of that.

A protection crystal ball - Delivered to my door. <br /> They asked for no more as i watched back in awe - Fairys delivered my ball to me.
