Adults
With my
adult classes, there are 2 paintings which I require all students to
paint. They are then required to find a painting that they like and
then copy it.
After that they get to paint whatevery they desire.
This
paintings below are the very first paintings these students have
ever done. I require all first time beginner students with me to
do this painting.
Most of them want to run a mile, but I explain to them that I have
had 6 year olds paint this and then I show them the 6 year old painting.
Rocks
under water: These students both did the same painting with the
same colours on their palette. Amazing how different they turned
out.
This
is the second painting I require all student to accomplish.
All
these paintings below are from my beginners. They are the paintings
done in their first year. It took me almost 10 years to get where
they are now. Most of the paintings took around 8 lessons to finish.
The
painting below of the saddle by Wendy is her chosen painting for
the task to paint an already existing painting. They know they are
not allowed to sign the paintings if they have copied them off another
artist.
The below painting of the wine bottles is Gaz's. He is 'still'
doing it, he says he wishes to take his time. He has taken over
3 blocks of 8 weeks.
But I must say it is turning out incredibly beautiful. He has taken
this from a photo so he will be able to sign this one.
The painting is also huge 24" x 35"
